Over the past eight years the development team has continued to refine Honor of Kings’ gameplay. Based on the learnings from the billions of matches played, the team has found a sweet spot that balances speed and strategy to deliver the most-enjoyable, fulfilling, and easy-to-play competitive mobile MOBA experience for all.

Demonstrating their commitment to the community in MENA, the Honor of Kings team has implemented localised in-game text and will be deploying regional servers to ensure smooth and stable gameplay. Adding to this focus on local players, Level Infinite and TiMi will be releasing future content that celebrates local cultural events and festivals and collaborations with respected talent from the region.

This locally relevant content will be complimented by further collaborations with world renowned musical artists and celebrities. Such previous partnerships have seen a stirring composition from Hans Zimmer, Joe Hisaishi, and most recently DJ Alok.

“We have worked closely with our colleagues at TiMi to provide our community with the best possible version,” stated Herman Zhao, Head of Emerging Markets Publishing, Tencent Games. “Whether they are experienced MOBA players or newcomers to the genre, having a localised game, including a comprehensive tutorial, shows the emphasis we place on our players’ needs and giving a warm welcome to Honor of Kings.”

Honor of Kings’ esports program continues to evolve and expand with the promise of a $15 million (USD) investment to build an international esports ecosystem. This system will include local and global tournaments specifically designed to offer more players and teams, wherever they are based, the opportunity to participate.

This program launches with the Global Invitational Series, the first season of which will take place in , Istanbul this March – the Intercontinental Invitational will see eight teams from Brazil, Türkiye, MENA, and CIS regions will go head to head for a chance to progress in the series and take home a share of the $300,000 USD prize pot.

The end of the year will see the culmination of the global esports program with the Honor of Kings Championship Invitational, where teams from around the world will compete to be crowned the ultimate champion.
